About Color Vision: Color Vision was established by Mia Davis as a woman-led empowerment organization in 2017 with a mission to improve fairness and equity in creative industries. Its aim is to support women of color with training, mentorship and scholarships to gain access to equal opportunities in employment, business, and higher education.
Tanika Gray Valbrun is an award-winning Journalist, Educator and non-profit founder with a passion for women’s health. After her personal struggles with uterine fibroids including two myomectomies, Tanika’s passion for women’s health inspired her to create The White Dress Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support for women suffering from fibroids and to, raise awareness and for fibroid education.
Karys Belger, is a dedicated reporter for 11Alive News in Atlanta, GA, is on a mission to illuminate the often overlooked narratives within her community. Joining the team in October 2021, Karys swiftly became known for her ability to capture the essence of every story she covers, be it political debates or interviews with K-Pop sensations. A true multi-hyphenate, she shoots, writes, and edits all her own stories.
Prior to her tenure in Atlanta, Karys served as a reporter for the Daybreak morning show on WGRZ in Buffalo, NY. During her time there, she delved into a wide array of topics, from investigating Governor Andrew Cuomo to highlighting the preservation of Black American Sign Language. Her impactful coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic's effects on Buffalo's Black community and her insightful reporting on the Black Lives Matter Movement underscore her commitment to social justice.
